Sanford Tea Dance, 4/6/08
Well, even though it was a rainy day, my gay son Drake and I left
Titusville for Sanford and Eberweins for the dance. We were so
happy we came...there was friendly Fran at the door to greet us with a
big smile and after we did our name tags and got our "green dots",
Charon came with a big hug and took us around this gorgeous old fish
market and I got to see a nice collection of her art. The owners did a
super job refurbishing that lovely building and I adored meeting them
and their staff. We got treated like royalty!
It was great to meet and hear Chris spin her disks and take requests
and lovely to watch folks dance slow again. Later on, I got to spend
some time learning more about Fran's interesting life and then I ate a
"Big Ass" 8 oz. rare burger and sweet potato fries with a lovely hard
cider to the tunes of good memories and the newest songs. I had a
great time. Drake had a great time. I thought it was a super way to
spend a rainy Sunday and I liked it there so much, I will be back for
Thursday's event. I invite you all to come and I hope to meet more
OWLS then and if not Thursday, then Sunday at the Pride event.
Thank you all for your work at putting an event together that was NOT
at a BAR - for the LGBT community of Central Florida...

Ocala Tea Dance, 2/17/08
...we attended the T-Dance at the Ritz on Sunday and had an
absolutely wonderful time. We feel it was a beautiful location for an
event like this and we are anxiously awaiting the next one. When word
gets out how much fun this one was, we are sure that there will be a
lot more people come to the next one. We're working on it.

Well, needless to say that I had one heck of a good time Sunday.
It was great seeing some new faces there and I want to welcome the
two fellows from NY. Our local guys know how we feel about them so I
want to say to the new comers, you are welcome at all our functions.
BTW if you have grandmothers that are gay, bring them along. I need
some older women that aren`t partnered to keep me in check, just a
little, these young pups are going to kill me faster than I want to
meet my maker. LOL My body didn`t like me Monday but I`m getting

Just had to say what a great time we all had this past
Sunday night, how much fun it was to meet everyone and
hopefully we will be doing it again soon in the not too
distant future. Anyone who did not attend, you missed a

The tea dance was great.. the Ritz was a beautiful backdrop as the
sun was setting.. it just keeps getting better.. I loved the entertainment
fo' sho'.. the 2 Chris's I think stole the show... all that gyrating and "leg
liftin" my, oh my!!! Yes, welcome Dick and Garth who have just been
here for 2 weeks from upstate New York.. You 2 are "special"... It was
so great to be in everyone's company!! PS Thx Sarah for your
lavendar.. it did cool my hot red face down!!! Blessings, Constance

We here at Eberwein's want to thank all those who came out for our
first tea dance, and thanks to Funtastic Production for bringing the
men out of their shells, it was a great sucess. We look forward to many
more, we will be having this event the first Sunday of every month.

Womyns Tea Dance, 9/15/07:
"This past Saturday night was the kick off night and it was great. I
personally re-united with several wonderful ladies that I'd lost contact
with and of course made new friends.
There were singles there too as well as couples and of different age
groups.
This group plans on having these dances in other areas down the
road but it was well worth the trip up there. We had fun! DJ and the
music was great. Real dancing music and songs we actually
understood the words to! haha
...... lovely ladies, wonderful hosts. We live in Cape Canaveral and
the club where it was held was in Daytona - a quick hour drive. Well
worth it".
